Same Same But Different Festival 2026 Lineup
Same Same But Different 2026 returns to Lake Perris, California, from September 25–27 for three days of music, camping, workshops, art and other programming along the shores of Lake Perris State Recreation Area.
The 2026 lineup features LSDREAM, Of The Trees, Tape B and Gramatik alongside Ship Wrek, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Kasablanca, Effin, Steller, Peace Control, Trés Mortimer, WonkyWilla, Yamagucci and more.
The festival takes place at Moreno Beach inside Lake Perris State Park in Perris, California. The official festival website currently lists September 25–27 as the 2026 event dates.
Same Same But Different Festival 2026 Lineup Expands
SSBD’s original 2026 announcement included LSDREAM, Of The Trees, Tape B and Gramatik among the leading names on the bill, with a broader lineup spanning electronic and live music.
The festival subsequently expanded the lineup with more than 60 additional artists. Among the later additions are Machinedrum, TRUTH, Lee Reynolds, Thought Process and Vincent Antone. Those additions were announced ahead of the festival’s September return and expanded the already sizable music program across Lake Perris.
SSBD’s current website advertises five stages of music, with programming ranging from house and bass to acoustic, jam, bluegrass and other live performances.
Rather than limiting the weekend to a single electronic style, the current lineup includes artists across several parts of the dance music spectrum as well as live acts.
LSDREAM Brings LIGHTCODE to SSBD 2026
LSDREAM’s appearance at SSBD extends beyond his music performance with the return of LIGHTCODE.
The project centers on sound meditation and is included among SSBD’s workshop programming for 2026. Recent festival coverage also confirms LSDREAM’s LIGHTCODE workshop as part of this year’s programming.
Beyond LIGHTCODE, SSBD currently advertises more than 75 workshops, with programming covering areas such as yoga, meditation, art and other activities.
The festival’s VIP wellness programming also includes access to cold plunges, saunas, hosted speakers and nutritional-product giveaways, according to the official SSBD website.
BUTwood Transforms the But Stage
For 2026, SSBD is transforming its But stage into BUTwood, a concept inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Age.
The theme incorporates film-inspired sets and participatory elements into the festival environment, extending the experience beyond traditional stage programming. Recent 2026 festival coverage identifies BUTwood as part of this year’s Lake Perris experience.
It is one component of SSBD’s broader focus on activities beyond its scheduled music sets, which also includes immersive art, workshops and interactive experiences throughout the festival grounds.
Nakey Island Returns to Lake Perris
Nakey Island also returns to Same Same But Different in 2026.
The island is a collaboration between Almost Nakey and SSBD located within Lake Perris. Festivalgoers reach the area by boat ferry from the main festival grounds, and a stage is located on the island.
Despite the name, SSBD specifically notes that Nakey Island is not a nudist beach. The festival also states that there is an additional charge to ride the boat to the island.
Nakey Island programming adds another environment to the weekend outside SSBD’s primary festival grounds, with recent 2026 coverage also documenting its return this year.
Camping at Same Same But Different Festival 2026
Camping is a major component of the SSBD weekend.
According to the festival, GA and VIP wristbands include tent camping. Attendees can begin setting up camp on Thursday, September 24, when gates open, while all campers must leave the park by 3 p.m. Monday, September 28.
SSBD offers several camping options beyond standard tent camping, including car camping, RV options and glamping. Some of those options require separate passes or purchases.
The festival is also all ages. Children under six are admitted free, while attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
SSBD Keeps Attendance Limited to 7,500
Same Same But Different intentionally limits ticket sales to 7,500 attendees, according to the festival’s current website.
Organizers describe the attendance cap as part of an effort to maintain a smaller-scale festival environment as SSBD continues to grow. The 7,500-person limit is also documented in the festival’s crowdfunding materials.
SSBD has also experimented with community ownership. The festival launched an equity crowdfunding campaign through Wefunder, giving qualifying investors the opportunity to purchase an ownership interest in the company behind Same Same But Different. SEC filings identify the issuer as Same Same But Different LLC and Wefunder Portal LLC as the intermediary for the offering.
That is a more precise description than simply labeling the festival “fan-owned.”
