San Luis Obispo’s premier music, arts, and camping festival, Shabang, announces its return to California’s stunning Central Coast on May 2nd & 3rd for its biggest edition to date. Following the success of last year’s tenth-anniversary celebration, the fan-favorite festival will once again transform Dairy Creek Golf Course into a vibrant haven– featuring four stages, a stacked artist lineup, yoga, workshops, immersive art, and local food & beverage experiences. Ticket and camping packages go on sale February 27th at 11 AM PT, giving fans the chance to experience a truly one-of-a-kind roster of indie, alternative, and electronic artists—all set against the backdrop of idyllic rolling hills for an unforgettable spring weekend.

Shabang’s 2025 lineup is nothing short of incredible- featuring an eclectic DJ set from UK-based music collective Jungle, captivating performances from indie sensations Wallows and Goth Babe, and pulsating sets from dance music disruptors Odd Mob and Kream. Indie and alternative fans are in for a treat- with acclaimed singer-songwriter Briston Maroney, Southern Californian indie pop trio almost monday, and this year’s hottest emerging talents such as breakout indie band Slow Pulp, Salt Lake City’s indie rock act The Kilans, LA-based alt-group Mind’s Eye and San Diego-based Foxtide– all taking the stage.

The festival will also spotlight a selection of both coveted and underground dance music talents, including the acclaimed DJ and producer OMNOM, Noir Fever label boss & vocalist Aluna, REALM’s recent breakout act Linska, Serbian-born, chart-topping producer kryptogram, and rising house music aficionado GUDFELLA. The billing is further continued with the “up-next” artists of the dance music scene– including Nervous Records’ Loofy, electro-pop producer DLG., twin sister duo RaeCola, and Russian-born, LA-based DJ LEISAN

Beyond the music, Shabang upholds its tradition of offering immersive experiences that elevate the weekend beyond a typical festival. Attendees can take part in movement and wellness activities like yoga, sound baths, and interactive workshops, alongside festival favorites such as the signature silent disco and live art installations. Food lovers can also explore a curated selection of pop-ups from renowned food vendors, wineries, and breweries– taking full advantage of the festival’s proximity to Central California’s iconic wine and beer country.

With the success of their added camping option at the tree-lined El Chorro Regional Park Campground last year, Shabang will be bringing back the offering– just a short, 5-minute walk from the festival grounds. Campers will have access to clean bathrooms, showers, fire pits, and RV hookups- as well as on-site activities like morning yoga, exclusive acoustic sessions, and nature walks in the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens.

Shabang has grown from a mere 20-person, DIY college gathering into an annual festival garnering national attention- amassing over 10,000 attendees for its tenth anniversary in 2024. One of California’s most beloved grassroots festivals, the gathering continues to stay true to its original mission to uplift both international headliners and local talent- all while fostering a deep sense of community under the open skies of San Luis Obispo.

With its 11th year delivering top-tier, multi-genre programming to the Central Coast, Shabang Festival promises something special for every kind of festival-goer. The 2025 edition will run Friday, May 2nd from 3 pm to 11 pm and Saturday, May 3rd from 2 pm to 11 pm.  Tickets are on sale February 27th at 11 AM PT. Guests must be 18+ to attend. GA passes start at $239; VIP passes start at $379. Camping packages are available, with tent sites starting at $165 per person. For more information, please visit shabangslo.com.
