Opening with a brief, mesmerizing, reverbed snare, the beat suddenly drops out as the lyrics take hold. The smokey voice of the opening lyrics immediately hooks your attention. Ending with a vibrated “ bad, bad, bad, bish bish bish…”, the real beat clocks in, pounding through the speakers and letting the track truly take flight. Intertwined with the commanding vocals, the groovy, bouncy backbeat creates a crime scene on the dance floor.
“ Death by love,” says a robotic voice as spacey samples interject into the background. Exuding its tech vibes, the textured layer adds new depth to the house groove opening. Blending the two genres immaculately, wave synths and a cosmic interlude ensue. Carrying your soul from the dance floor, “Death by Love” evolves into the second portion of this rapture.
