Rising experimental bass phenom Cyclops hits us across the head with the space-inspired new single, ” Womp World. “ Dropping Wednesday, March 12th, the track ushers in a new era for the one-eyed giant. It sparks a fresh take on sound along with mind-bending, eye-spy-inspired visuals for his live concerts. This invigorating energy is sure to set 2025 off right. Riding the massive success of his viral hit, “ Tear Jerker,” this up-and-coming bass producer is on everyone’s radar.

Garnering attention and song placements from major acts like ATLIENS, ALLEYCVT, and Kompany, Cyclops is entering the new year with full force. This exciting new single is a testament to the new era of Cyclops, marking a shift towards more anthemic productions. With heavy teasing online, highly energized live sets, and various other artists already playing the track, the time has finally come for the release of Womp World.

WOMP! WOMP!

Opening with space-induced sound effects and menacing undertones, the track takes off with eerie precision. An uptempo drum and bass beat eases the listener into the madness and sets up the drop perfectly. It’s not until around the one-minute mark that all hell breaks loose. “ Oh yeah, just wait till you hear…” BOOM! The huge, encompassing beat smacks the listener across the face before the head-banging ensues! This is one of the gnarliest bass-smacking choruses I’ve heard this year.

I think my favorite part is the big raspy bass interlude around the halfway mark of the song. The speakers need to be turned up to 11 and the subs set to full blast because this part is definitely a trunk rattler. The subtle voices and sound clips in the background are so sick! The unique samples build the intensity of certain parts of the song immaculately. The last build of the song is a spacey, wonky masterpiece before one last blow to the head occurs during the final chorus! The gigantic nature of this song is sure to set every headbanger off the rails this upcoming festival season!

Set to play a barrage of big-name festivals and stages this coming year, there will be no shortage of this one-eyed giant. Playing sold-out venues at The Torch LA and Tacoma Dome Cyclops is kicking up major dust in 2025!
