After laying siege to the bass scene, Ray Volpe has quickly risen through the ranks of the dubstep community. With the monumental success of previous releases like “ See You Drop “ and “ Laserbeam, “ which have garnered over a combined 20 million streams, Ray Volpe has carved a name for himself as one of the leading heavy bass contenders. Bringing in that classic dubstep feel, it’s no wonder that leading artists like Excision, Wooli, and DJ Diesel have paid homage to this fresh ball of energy known as Ray Volpe.
Whether you call it Riddim or Old School Dubstep, Ray Volpe delivers brain-rattling basslines, astonishing energy, heavy metal/trap sounds, and a hint of smooth hip hop vibes. Creating a style that is uniquely his own, Volpetron is poised to make major waves with his debut album, “ Forever, Volpetron. “ After tearing up major stages at EDC Orlando, Texas’ Lights All Night, and a recent sold-out show at the Hollywood Palladium, Volpetron and Vastive give us a preview of the monstrosity that’s about to come with the single “ Get Smacked.”

“GET SMACKED” really jumpstarts my debut album season into full swing. Working with Vastive felt very natural; we both have a love for metal music and interesting flows to bring into the heavy bass sector of the dance scene…” Shares Ray Volpe
Are you ready??
Opening with rock-infused guitar riffs and Crunk-style vocals, ” Get Smacked ” goes from zero to sixty at lightning speed. Just thirty seconds into the recording, headbangers will be breaking their necks faster than the Busta Rhymes song. Jarring bass lines coupled with Kung Fu samples provide an all-out assault on the listeners’ eardrums! Vastive’s big stadium production and metal influences coincide perfectly with Volpe’s direction on this debut single.
I absolutely love the double bass drum interlude towards the middle of the song. This delicate touch instantly took me back to the metal days of my youth. Eerily reminiscent of As I Lay Dying’s track ” 96 Hours, “ mosh pits will surely erupt during this metal-heavy dubstep track. Lastly, I was totally blown away by the trap-heavy hip-hop ending…wtf… Riding out to rumbling basslines, “ Get Smacked “ is for all walks of life within the bass scene.
