Modestep, pioneer of the dubstep and electronic rock fusion, are back with ‘kiss u’ out now via UKF as part of their 15th Anniversary series.

Following the genre-defying collaboration with rising drum and bass star SOTA earlier this year, ‘kiss u’ marks a return to Modesteps roots, offering a more refined take on their signature dubstep sound. Alongside the release, Modestep Live will be bringing their high-energy performance to the UKF15 Drumsheds event, boasting the full live band which will be the first band performance in the UK since 2017.

On the inspiration for the track, Josh says “I wanted to put a modern twist on the old school dubstep sound we all grew up on, taking inspiration from artists like Flux Pavilion, NERO and Doctor P. I was trying to cast my mind back to 2010 when I first fell in love with dubstep, and what I would make now using everything I’ve learned since.” Listen to ‘kiss u’

With over a decade of touring stages all over the globe, Modestep have gained a reputation for putting on a show like no other. With the high energy and aggression of a rock band, and the eye-rattling frequencies of a bass-heavy electronic act; Modestep have left a lasting impression on such legendary stages as Glastonbury, Coachella, Reading Festival, EDC, Ultra, Lost Lands, Summer Sonic and notably to a headline crowd of 750,000 at Woodstock.

With two albums under their belt (including the chart topping ‘Evolution Theory’), two seminal EP’s on the Disciple Records label and with tracks and collaborations racking up hundreds of millions of plays; they show no signs of slowing down. With a third album on the way in 2025, and a new live-show to match; Modestep set to continue dominating stages across the globe.
