The aptly named single features an infectious vocal provided by Haley Maze, and sharp production from Sikdope and ZOOTAH, both who are familiar names on the Dim Mak imprint.
Longtime friends, Sikdope and ZOOTAH’s synergy in the studio is palpable with their new single.
Sikdope reflects on the collab; “I met Sean from Zootah over 10 years ago, and it’s funny because we connected online as young metal fans who were in bands at the time. As we both started down new paths, aiming to become successful DJs and producers, we exchanged tunes back and forth until we finally met in real life. We clicked instantly and became best friends. Naturally, we ended up collaborating for the first time in 2018 on what has now become an iconic track, ‘Bubblegum.’ We followed that up with ‘Giving You’ in 2022, and now, the third time’s the charm with ‘Addicted!’
‘Addicted’ is my favorite of the three collabs we’ve done so far. I think this tune is really unique because it blends tech house elements with bass house and a techno-ish low end. The vocal, with its catchy hook—’I’m addicted to the beat, come on baby move your feet – really makes you want to move.
