Malifoo has wasted no time in making his mark in 2018, following on from last year’s ‘Talkbox’ on Armada, which was supported by the likes of heavy hitters Hardwell and Borgeous. Malifoo’s last track ‘You’, released on Armada sub-label The Bearded Man, received similar support. Malifoo returns to The Bearded Man with his latest output ‘Whistle’, a summer primed anthem that is set to further his burgeoning reputation.
The track is guitar led from the start, joining luscious chords with catchy licks to create a soundbed upon which the track is built. A dazed vocal, drenched in reverb and accompanied by a deeper backing line in the breakdown, floats atop the track and takes it to the next level. The elements add up to a warm cocktail which cements ‘Whistle’s place as a summer anthem.
