Nearly two months after the release of his third studio album, Float, Slow Magic has begun to unleash a set of remixes for the collection of music.
Over the past few weeks, he’s posted two remixes of “Light” by Omniboi and Qrion, along with his own “sunset edit” of “Belong 2 Me.” On Nov. 26, he followed these up with a remix from Celadon City of “Mind.”
“Mind,” which had been released in May as a single, has a pop feel to it, bolstered by vocals from Kate Boy that are both dreamy and raw. For his remix of the track, Oklahoma City producer Celadon City introduces his sound with a gentle, ethereal introduction. Ushered in with Slow Magic’s signature drums, Celadon City strips the track down with a series of emotive breaks and hones in on Kate Boy’s vocals for a more minimalist take on the track.
“I’ve been a big fan of Celadon City’s beautiful music for a while and was very happy to ask him to make a remix for Float,” Slow Magic said in a recent tweet.
