Up for earth-shaking bass that intertwines with classical harp melodies for a forward-thinking vision? Look no further – Dutch producer BeauDamian teams up with Perth-based artist ZEKE BEATS for “Faux Bourdon,” a cinematic tune that feels like it belongs on the soundtrack for Game of Thrones.

Out on San Holo‘s bitbird label, “Faux Bourdon” stems from a Middle Ages sound technique which translates to “false bass.” BeauDamian explains this allows him the “possibility to write music in a classical way” but still have modern audiences mesmerized by his unique sound. Combined with ZEKE BEATS’ signature bass, the window-rattling track is an attention grabber that stands out in the genre.

The artist elaborates, “I can’t really say that this is only a real banger, because of all the musical changes. The world is changing. Technology is getting bigger and bigger. This track shows us the development we are going through. Less acoustic material, less human activity, more binary codes and artificial intelligence.”
