DJ Shadow took to Twitter this Thursday to unveil a new collaboration with Nas. Titled “Systematic” and co-produced by DJ Snake, the tune premiered on Zane Lowe‘s Beats 1 Radio show after DJ Shadow candidly emailed it to the radio host while Beats 1 was on air.

As promised, “Systematic” is an immediate head bopper with Nas’ signature flow over a bass-heavy, funky beat. The song’s old-school flow signals a promising upcoming release for Nas, whose eleventh studio album is due out this year. While it remains unknown if “Systematic” will be featured on Nas’ forthcoming project, the track will be seen on the soundtrack HBO’s fourth season of Silicon Valley. The show’s hotly anticipated premiere is on April 23, and Silicon Valley: The Soundtrack will be available via Mass Appeal Records on June 16.
