Always one to kick off the party in style, Don Diablo power starts 2017 with his already much in demand DJ weapon ‘Switch’. It’s the first release this year on his renowned HEXAGON label, and it’s set to cause some mayhem for sure.
Dutch maestro Don Diablo keeps on surprising his audience with new, invigorating tunes. Released on various labels, whether it’s on his own HEXAGON label or labels like Spinnin’ Records, Axtone or Universal Records, the Don works up a fresh round of excitement with every record.
This includes 2015’s gems ‘On My Mind’, ‘Universe’ and the mesmerizing, globally picked up Tiësto collab ‘Chemicals’, while the HEXAGON imprint (kicked off in 2015 with critical acclaim) delivered several major tunes like the Don Diablo & CID remix of Alex Adair’s ‘Make Me Feel Better’.
After early 2016 Spinnin’ Records hit ‘Tonight’ and Don Diablo’s collab with Steve Aoki and Lush & Simon for the genre crossing festival anthem ‘What We Started’ (counting over 15 million Spotify streams by now), he dropped another undeniable party tune in the form of ‘Cutting Shapes’, which gained major DJ feedback as well as high streaming stats (closing in on 10 million as we speak).
‘Switch’
And now, Don Diablo is back to kickstart 2017 with a blast of a tune. Already one of the highlights in his DJ sets for a while now, ‘Switch’ revolves around tension building chords and nice, wobbly bass chords, blending the trademark Don Diablo sound with cool sound effects.
“I started making some exclusive tools and edits for my DJ sets last year and there was one idea in particular people kept asking me about. So after many requests from excited fans and DJ colleagues I decided to finish it off properly and turn it onto an official release. I wanted to start the year with something different, a fresh twist to my usual sound, and I think this track is the perfect way to keep pushing things forward and SWITCH things up for 2017 and beyond.” – Don Diablo
DJ support: incl. Oliver Heldens, Diplo, Martin Garrix, Dillon Francis, Nicky Romero, Sam Feldt, Kaskade, Galantis and many more.
